Apeni trained in L.A. for Film Make-up. On her return to India she headed the make up and hair department on Mangal Pandey where she brought all her skills on board to be responsible for the make up and hair design of all the cast in the film, which is the exception rather than the norm in the industry. She has since then remained a strong influence for make up and hair designing of the Bombay film industry, run her own salon, as well as been an ambassador for many international cosmetic brands.
A hair and make up artist known for her long term collaboration with ace cricketers Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh and Bollywood celebrities such as Ajay Devgan and Hrithik Roshan, she has been transforming their looks to stardom status. She believes in working with her clients to enable a gentle transition in appearance, making them independent of her and educating them on how to manage their own appearance when required.
