Gentleman Or Not?

Gentleman Or Not?

Is being a gentleman an archaic concept? Or is it still relevant today? Does the word “gentleman” conjure images of an ancient knight in shining armour fighting valiantly for a lady, or a man wearing an expensive suit, dining in five-star restaurants, and tipping his hat? Today, being a gentleman is a matter of choice. It is a title you earn through an unwavering commitment to invest in your character. It is not about perfection, but a constantly renewed pursuit of excellence. Gentlemen are not stiff, pretentious, or focused on elevating themselves. Instead, they strive to succeed while helping those around them succeed as well. Being a gentleman means that you care about how your choices impact others. It is about human connection. Thankfully, the definition of being a gentleman has changed—for the better—as many of these outdated notions have long passed away. The very definition of gentleman is evolving and The Man Company is challenging it for the better. This International Men's Day, join the club as we redefine the template and celebrate all kinds of gentlemen. The Man Company is celebrating every gentleman. Your lifestyle, sexuality, profession, or education does not define you; what matters is what is within. So this #InternationalMensDay, break the template and salute the #GentlemanInYou.

This Father’s Day Gift Your Dad A Surprise

This Father’s Day Gift Your Dad A Surprise

A warm hug for all dads to make them feel special. All fathers are heroes to their sons and daughters. Fathers may have had their share of struggles, but to their best ability, they never let it reach you. From a cricket bat to a football to that dress you really liked to videogames to bikes, sooner or later, he gave it to you. Of course, you had the best advocates by your side – mothers – who made sure that you got your perfect gift. Now, think about this – how often do you express your love for him? Can’t remember? Don’t worry, you are not alone. So, come Father’s Day may we ask you to #GiftYourDadAHug. Because at times, a hug is the simplest gesture that could turn dads into friends, instantly. Once your dad becomes a friend, we don’t need to tell you how beautiful and easy life gets. Today, let’s think how many kinds of these kind souls are actually there? Strict-On-The-Surface Dads This kind is the most typical one. Simplest things like coming in front of the TV while he’s watching the news or coming home late (yes, even an hour late) could become a catalyst to you getting a big time-out. But but but, there’s also a softer and extremely adorable side to this kind. Just express your love for him, and see the magic. Sporty Dads They are fitness enthusiasts and will tell you to stay fit. They get up early, often at the hour when you call it a night, and you can see them following a fitness regime. They like to keep themselves groomed and when it comes to perfect looks, not just you, but even your friends look up to them.                                           The Problem Solver Dads Have a problem? Just tell him. His creative mind will instantly give you five-six solutions. Or if the problem requires a ‘jugaad’, he will pick up his phone, make a few calls, and voila! Problem solved. The Age-Old Entrepreneur Dads Much before startups were a thing, this kind came up with a unique idea and made it big. Sit with them, and they will give you business ideas that could make the next-gen entrepreneurs a run for their money. The ‘Ask Your Mother’ Dads This kind wants you to have all the fun with friends and they want to give you ‘permission’ for everything legitimate you want, but their strict-dad image often jumps on the driving seat. So, they often conclude their decision by saying ‘mummy se pooch lo’ (‘ask your mother’). The list could on and on, but one thing will remain a constant in each – they are all super gentle and adorable once you express your love for them. Like in our latest ad film Ayushmann Khurrana shows a glimpse of his love, and as a return gift, gets the most delicious dinner cooked by dad (played by Piyush Mishra). Oh, how can we forget this category – The Masterchef Dads. Watch the dichotomic relationship between a son and a father, and how easily they build a beautiful bond, with just a heartwarming gesture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylA4AonQtEo So, this Father’s Day #GiftYourDadAHug and see him meltdown with warmth and affection.

Skincare & haircare tips for the #GentlemanInYou As much as we love the festival of colours, Holi, what worries us the most is the hassle of post-celebration skincare and haircare. Taking off all that colour can be tricky, and we’ve got you covered with the best tips to follow. Let’s get started to help you get your skin and hair back on track. Post Holi Skincare Tips 1. Use A Mild Facewash Before you wash your face with a facewash or cleanser, dust off all the dry colours. If the facewash does not remove the colour, try using an exfoliator, but do not forget to be gentle. A gentle facewash and exfoliator will bring your skin back to life, making you feel squeaky clean. Check out our range of facewashes.  2. Moisturise Your Skin Well We cannot stress enough how important it is to moisturise your skin after playing with all the colours. Your skin will feel thoroughly dry and coarse after all the playing and fun, and to make it soft and supple, you need to use a moisturiser that suits your skin type. Make sure you pick something that is lightweight and feels non-greasy on the skin. Check out our range of moisturisers. 3. Indulge In A Sheet Mask To breathe all the life back into your skin, you need to pamper it right, and nothing does it like a sheet mask. The serum from the sheet mask will help your skin heal from all the colour drama and bring back all the radiance. Most importantly, after all the play, you and your skin both need a sit back and relax. Check out our range of sheet masks.  Post Holi Haircare Tips 1. Pick A Mild Shampoo Shampoos that are free of harmful chemicals like sulphates and toxins are ideal for post Holi haircare. They will not only help cleanse your hair but will ensure that they gently treat your scalp. Try double cleansing your hair to ensure that the colour comes off completely. Check out our range of shampoos.  2. Do Not Forget To Condition With everything that you put your hair through this Holi, it is important to give it the right haircare. To avoid your hair from drying and feeling coarse it is important that you condition them well after shampooing. Make sure you apply a good amount of conditioner on the lengths of your hair to make it soft and shiny. Check out our range of conditioners. 3. Use A Nourishing Hair Oil Just like your skin, your hair can use some nourishment too. Applying a nourishing hair oil will not only rejuvenate your hair but will also intensely moisturise your scalp. Well, that is not all, it will make your hair smooth and healthy. Check out our range of hair oils.  We hope your post Holi grooming stays on point and the #GentlemanInYou feels just as good as you felt while playing with all the colours.

A Timeline Of Celebrations

A Timeline Of Celebrations

Men, for ages, have been carrying the burden of masculine imagery imposed upon them by tradition. It is no doubt that self-care had to take the last seat in a bus full of other priorities. And at that, men’s grooming was a speck in the horizon. There was a gap in how self-care was portrayed to men as a matter of basic toiletries. Our men surely deserved much more than a bar of soap and family shampoo. They deserved to get their grooming needs discovered and met. If not a trip to the Turkish Hamams, they deserved to get the care for their subjective hair and skin types, scents to enhance their style. In 2012, our founders realized that they had to find a way to fill this gap. And on our 5th birthday, we are glad to walk you down the memory lane of a vision perceived and the vision achieved.
