Almost everybody we know loves to run. It’s a good exercise and helps you stay fit. A mile run in the morning is what makes people feel fresh and active. But are you running that long? Or is something affecting your long run? A term called “Crotch chafe” is known as the reason for most of the runners. Here are some tips to avoid chafing!
1. Apply something
It’s better to apply something down there, preferably an anti-fungal cream or anti-microbial cream. You have to remember that sweat down there is the reason why this happens.
2. The right thing to wear
Go for running shorts. Every sports apparel company has different types of running shorts and lowers which dries the sweat quickly. DON’T wear cotton shorts! Cotton is known to absorb quickly and dry slowly.
3. Stay hydrated
You need to drink ample amounts of water. As you run, you perspire, which contains salt and water pushes it out of your body. The moment you are dehydrated, your body isn’t able to push any sweat out.
4. The hairy business
Hair down there also causes several problems. If they are short, it might irritate you and if they are long, they might act as a shield. You have to maintain the length of it to be comfortable because sometimes it mixes up with your shorts and create even bigger problems!
